THE FIRST RELEASE FROM MY NEW VIDEO SERIES “AS SEEN THROUGH GOOGLE GLASS”!
Sorry for all the caps, I’m just too excited about this. I’ve been sitting on these for a while & I finally am ready to start releasing these videos
This series is a group of videos that all deal with Google Glass & seeing the world through a musicians eye. When I won the competition to become one of the first Glass Explorers, that was what I promised in my tweet, so that is what I will deliver.
Some videos will be of my band in rehearsal and what that looks like, what it looks like to perform on stage from my eyes & from the eyes of the audience, a tutorial, how people at a party react to the Google Glass & a bunch of other random stuff I think will be interesting for you all to see before the Google Glass is available to the public.
The first video is called ‘Meeting the Glass Explorer and Her Glass”. This is the intro video, so please leave me comments so I know what you guys want to see so I can include it in the next video!
^^^ WATCH THE VIDEO ON YOUTUBE FOR BETTER QUALITY^^^^
I’m stoked to be a part of the Google team, so thank you Google for trusting me to be one of the first Google Glass Explorers.
Share this journey with me, subscribe to my channel & let’s see what these things can do!
Hi friends & lovas -
It’s been some time since i blogged last & i feel like i start all my blogs like that haha but FO REAL. so much has been going on. since i last blogged…

With all of that going on, one of the things i’m most excited about is the Party For One EP release show/party. We’re playing at a house party in my hometown, Redondo Beach, and are lucky enough to have our friends, Slow Kids At Play, play with us! If you’re free this friday, head to the South Bay for drinks, music and the hermosa pier aftaaa
check the link for more details!
&& for all you Google Glass explorers or those interested in what the hell these things are, i’ll be posting videos with them very, very soon! Hope to see you on friday at the show!
yo. this is kinda insane
a few months ago, I submitted to become a Google Glasses Explorer on Twitter and honestly, thought NOTHING would come of it. millions of people applied and created their “#ifihadglass” statements, so why would Google choose mine out of millions?
well, they did. needless to say, i flipped. apparently they were interested in seeing the world the way i do. here is the twitter statement i submitted.
if you don’t know what Google Glasses are, just visit this page and watch the little preview vid. these things will take over the world. http://www.google.com/glass/start/
anywho, I got a direct message from them saying I had been chosen to be of the first group to test them out and what not. soooo, just waiting to hear back from them on when ‘training’ is.
dont worry, ill keep you guys updated along the whole way
i got a lot more to tell you all, so keep up with the blogs <3
I realized I haven’t blogged much lately, but there is so much going on that I wannna share with errebody.
New Project : Party For One. We just played a show at Amplyfi on Friday. Great crowd, rad set, and new live videos on the way. We also made a sort of ‘welcome’ video last week in rehearsal on Valentine’s Day so check that out if you haven’t already.
We are also in the studio currently tracking our first EP. BEYOND stoked for that.
Also, remember my first EP titled The EP? Well, I was lucky enough to have that CD included in all of the Fashion Week gift bags in New York! That was pretty cool, so hopefully those fashionistas/os love some of those MEGG jams.
Chicago: The Musical.
For those of you who didn’t know, I auditioned and landed the role of Mama Morton in USC’s Cardinal Production of Chicago. That was such an amazing experience and I’m so happy I got to be a part of it. Thanks to all of those who came and supported the cast a few weeks ago! Fights broke out over the wait list, the shows sold out in 12 minutes… it was crazy!
Tomorrow at 6 PM, I’ll be singin’ the National Anthem at the USC Baseball Game. Oh man, I love dem baseball boys
Sunday at 1230 PM, I’ll be singing the National Anthem again at the USC Basketball Game. WOOP
&&&& I’ve got some other musical surprises coming soon…
Well that was long, but hopefully I’ve caught you up
So excited about this new single. It’s called The Last Song and I’ve been sittin’ on it for sometime now, but it’s time for you all to hear it!
I had the privilege of working with producer/engineer/mixer Smiley Sean from Bad Moon Studios on this song and of course had AMAZING musicians (and friends) track this with me: Hunter Porter on guitar, Rob Nagelhout on bass and A.J. Novak on drums.
I put together a lil’ video of some live footage from the Musink Festival (where we got to open for Hot Water Music and The Used), The Roxy, The Press Box and then a few clips from recording it in the studio. SO ENJOY THAT!
All in all, so happy with how this came out and the reggae twist we incorporated in the style. I would LOVE to know what you all think, so please let me know! You can also download the track for free under my ‘music’ tab
Wishin’ everyone a fantastic holiday & a very happy new year
I have buterflies about 2013….so I’m gonna go ahead and assume that’s a good thing
On a similar note, IF YOU HAVEN’T JOINED THE PARTY YET – NOW IS THE TIME. vvvvvv
we’ll be releasing music and videos real soon
with that being said, I’m off to more family time. in Mammoth with my brothers and mom & lovin every second of it
enjoy your holidays <3
alright, here’s the deal – I am SO excited for what’s coming up.
the guys that have been playing with me and i are starting a band. it’s something that we’ve talked about for awhile and i couldn’t be more stoked. our band name is still up in the air, but the music we play/write is a little bit of everything we listen to and love; pop/punk/rock and a little bit of reggae thrown in.
Hunter Porter – vox/guitar
AJ Peacox – vox/guitar
Rob Nagelhout – bass
Will Baldocchi – drums
the guys are some talented musicians & so i’m a pretty lucky girl
next month we’re going into the studio with production team, Underliners. they just happen to be two of my closest friends & play in the band &&&& they’re dope. follow their tumblr http://underliners.tumblr.com/
so check back for new updates, the band name and new music!!
